नमस्कार आज हम अंग्रेजी व्याकरण के महत्वपूर्ण चैप्टर में से एक Noun (संज्ञा) के बारे में अध्ययन करेंगे। इस अध्ययन के दौरान हम Noun से सम्बंधित विभिन्न बिन्दुओ जैसे What is Noun in Hindi? Classification, Rules, Examples इत्यादि पर चर्चा करेंगे।
Part of speech
● वाक्य निर्माण के लिए हमे कई प्रकार के शब्दों (word) की आवश्यकता होती है।
● इन शब्दों (word) को Part of speech कहते हैं

What is Noun (संज्ञा)
● Noun is naming word
● A noun is the name of thing, person, place, quality
(1) Jaipur is capital of Rajasthan.
(2) Sachin is good cricketer.
एक Noun का प्रयोग subject और object कि तौर पर किया जाता है।
(1) Seema is cooking food.

Classification of Noun (संज्ञा का वर्गीकरण)
(1) Proper Noun (व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा)
किसी व्यक्ति (person), वस्तु (thing) स्थान (Place) के नाम को Proper Noun कहते हैं।
(i) Dehli is the Capital of India.

Rule 1.
(a) Proper Noun से पहले article का प्रयोग नहीं होता है।
A Ravina is good girl. (x)

(b) Proper Noun का प्रथम letter capital होता है
Rakesh is good student.
Rule 2.
यदि Proper noun का प्रयोग वाक्य में तुलना के लिये किया गया हो तो उससे पहले Article the का प्रयोग होता है
(1) Jaipur is the Paris of India.
(2) Pushkar is the Haridwar of Rajasthan.
Rule 3.
● यदि proper noun से पहले Adj. लगा हो तो उससे पहले Definite Article the का प्रयोग होगा।

Proper Noun के साथ Singular verb का प्रयोग होता है

Common Noun (जातिवाचक संज्ञा)
वे शब्द जो किसी पुरे वर्ग (class) का बोध कराते हैं
जातिवाचक संज्ञा (Common Noun) कहलाते हैं।

Rule 1.
Singular Noun से पहले indefinite article a/an का प्रयोग होता है।
(1) I am a student. (Singular Countable Noun)
(2) I have a bycycle. (Singular Countable Noun)
Rule 2.
Definite common Noun से पहले Definite article The का प्रयोग होता है।
(1) He is the founder of facebook.
(2) She is the teacher of maths.
(3) Collective noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा)
ये वे शब्द होते हैं जो किसी वस्तु या व्यक्ति के समूह का बोध कराते हैं
जैसे – Army / team / family / class
(1) Our content team is the best.
Rule 1.
जब समूह वाचक संज्ञा (collective noun) को समूह (group) की तरह use करते हैं तो singular verb का प्रयोग किया जाता हैं।
(1) The committee was formed 2000.
(2) The jury were divided in their opinion.
(4) Abstract Noun (भाव वाचक संज्ञा)
ये वे शब्द होते है जो भाव / क्रिया / गुण / अवस्था का बोध कराते है
Action – happy, weep, cry, sad
Emotion – happiness, sadness, affection
Quality – honesty, bravery
State – Poverty, rich, old, youth
Rule 1.
Abstract noun से पहले Article the का प्रयोग नहीं होता है
उदाहरण – Honesty is the best policy.
Rule 2.
definite abstract noun से पहले Article the का use होता है।
(1) I like the movie of Amitabh bachchan.
(5) Material noun (वस्तुवाचक संज्ञा)
ये वे शब्द होते हैं जो किसी पदार्थ का बोध कराते है
Ex. Water, ice, gold, silver, copper
Rule 1.
इनके साथ article का प्रयोग नहीं होता है तथा singular verb का प्रयोग करते हैं।
(1) platinum is precious material.
Note – वस्तुवाचक संज्ञा (material noun)
ये Countable नहीं होते हैं इन्हे केवल मापा या तोला जा सकता हैं।
Rule 2.
यदि material noun definite है तो Article the का use होगा।
(1) The tea of Assam is expensive.
(2) The dress of Zara brand is of good quality.

Counting के आधार पर Noun दो प्रकार की होती है
(1) Countable Noun
● जिन्हे गिना जा सकता है
● इनका बहुवचन (Plural form) बनया जा सकता है।

● जिन्हे गिना नही जा सकता है
● इनका बहुवचन (Plural form) बनाया जा सकता है।

कुछ संज्ञाओं का प्रयोग एक वचन (singular form) में होता है इसलिए इनके साथ a/an का प्रयोग नहीं होता है।

Rule –
कुछ uncountable nouns के साथ कुछ word जोड़कर singular या plural बनाया जा सकता है

कुछ Noun देखने में plural लगते हैं लेकिन इनका उपयोग singular form में ही होता है

लेकिन यदि million / billion / thousand / hundred / dozen का उपयोग indefinite countable की रूप में हो तो इनका plural form उपयोग में आता है।
(1) Thousands of people come to see pushker fair.
(2) Thousands of cows died from lumpy virus.

यदि किसी noun के बाद Preposition का use हो और फिर वही noun repeat हो तो noun, singular ही रहेगी
(1) city after city was destroyed luring syria war.
(2) JDA van collect the garbage door to door.

Noun में बदलने के नियम
(1) Masculine Noun के आगे ess लगाकर Feminine Noun बनाई जाती है।

(2) कुछ मामलों में Masculine Noun के अन्तिम vowel को हटाकर उसके स्थान पर अन्तिम Consonants तथा ess लगाने से Feminine noun बन जाता है।

Singular को plural में बदलने के नियम
(1) कुछ Noun के अन्त में S लगाकर Plural बनाया जाता है

(2) जिन Noun के अन्त में s, ss, ch, sh या x हो तो उन्हें plural बनाने के लिए अन्त में es जोड़ दिया जाता है

कुछ Noun के अन्त में ‘O’ आता है एवं उससे पहले कोई व्यंजन हो तो उसको plural में बदलने के लिए Noun के अन्त में es लगाते हैं।

यदि किसी Noun के अन्त में दो vowel लगे हो तो उसके अन्त में s लगा कर Plural बनाया जाता है।

यदि Noun के अन्त में y आये एवं y से पहले कोई व्यजंन हो तो y की जगह ies लगाने से Plural बन जाता है।
